How to enable two-factor authentication

Setting up two-factor authentication (2FA) in the Explorate application only takes a few minutes and adds an extra layer of security. Once it’s on, you’ll only need to enter a 2FA code the first time you log in on a device—no constant prompts, we promise!

Step 1: Select Enable 2FA

  1. Click your profile icon (top-right) and select

  2. Scroll to Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).

  3. Clickand follow the setup steps.

Step 2: Get a 2FA App

You’ll need an app to generate authentication codes. We recommend Google Authenticator:

Step 3: Scan the QR Code

Open the authenticator app you just downloaded.

Use the authenticator app to scan the QR code on your screen.

After scanning, "Explorate" will appear in your authenticator app.

Enter the 6-digit code shown in the app

Step 4: Enable SMS Recovery

Enter your mobile number as a backup in case you lose access to your authenticator app

Check your phone for a 6-digit SMS code and enter it here:

That’s it! Your mobile number is now verified, and two-factor authentication (2FA) is enabled.

Step 5: Make Logging In Easier

When you log in for the first time, check the "Remember this device" box to skip 2FA on future logins from that device.
